Curriculum Corner – National Geographic Kids: U.S. States

Here are some of the past subjects covered:

National Geographic Kids is a fun resource for young learners, but even older learners may enjoy learning about the fabulous states in our nation. If your family is studying state facts and history, check out their state virtual tour pages to read about each state. These profiles include facts, interesting information, photos and much more about each state.

50 States, 50 Birds is a funny, educational resource where a bald eagle, the national bird, and each state bird perform a rap about the state. For even more fun, play The Ultimate US Road Trip Game and journey through the states while answering trivia questions. These interactive resources are a great addition to a unit on the states.
