Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw
With the end of the year approaching, it is easy to feel tired and ready for the summer. This month’s habit encourages us to take a break and sharpen the saw to do something that renews our body, heart, mind and soul.
This video portrays a lumberjack who refuses to stop working and be unproductive with a dull saw rather than taking time to just sharpen his saw and work more efficiently and effectively. It is a powerful metaphor to remind us that pushing through is not always the best option. Take time this week to stop and allow your family time to sharpen their saws.
