Tuesday ELD Class

ELD Class iLEAD Exploration

Thank you for having your child(ren) participate every Tuesday morning at 9:30! Our team of facilitators enjoy instructing our EL learners and they are growing in their skills every session. We continue to focus on the four domains: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

During previous ELD sessions, the TK-2nd grade class learners listened to a Thanksgiving story about a turkey trying to escape getting eaten by disguising himself as different animals. For an assignment at home, learners disguised their own turkey and brought it to class the following week to share. With this engaging lesson, learners practiced all four domains- listening to the story, reading comprehension, writing down the answer to questions about their turkey, and speaking to their classmates about what they made.

Here are some of their fabulous disguises!
