Book Club for grades 6th-8th: Persuasion Culminating Event

Over the course of four virtual meetings, learners in grades 6-8 will discuss one of the most famous authors of all time and her last book, Persuasion. Learners will explore Ann Elliot’s world of British high society along with dissecting Jane Austen’s rhetorical style. The optional culminating movie showing will be the Netflix production of Persuasion and learners will have the opportunity to compare Austen’s language with modern day language.
