Catalina Island Marine Institute Trip for 6th-8th Graders Overnight Camp

Our iLEAD 6th–8th grade learners (chosen through a lottery), have the opportunity to embark on a science-filled trip to the Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) from May 12th-14th. 2027.
During this hands-on, three-day trip, students will explore the ocean through snorkeling, marine biology labs, night hikes, and team-building activities. They’ll learn about marine ecosystems, oceanography, and island wildlife while developing leadership, independence, and a deeper appreciation for nature.
This is a 2 night 3 day field trip, chaperoned by EF/s and background verified parents.
No electronics will be allowed at camp to focus on a true hands camp experience.
Learners are chosen lottery style and will be notified via parent email.
