Exploring the Arts: EVENT FULL Acting Academy

Learners in grades 1st-12th are invited to join community provider, Acting Academy in this production of How To Train Your Dragon Jr.
Learners who participate will be guided through the musical theater process from start to finish. They’ll start our program with icebreakers and team building games followed by auditions and casting. The rehearsal process will include singing, acting, dancing and production content. The session will culminate with two back-to-back productions for families and friends on the Z Playhouse MAINSTAGE!
In addition to actors, we can also have a few learners that desire to be a part of our Jr. Director Program. Learners will explore how to cast a show, block scenes, stage manage and get involved with the technical components (lighting/sound/visual effects). This is for 5th graders and above.

When: Fridays from 12:30 – 3:30 PM – Sept. 11 – Nov. 13th
Two Performances: Tuesday, November 17th; 5:15p. m and 8:00pm
PLEASE NOTE: There is a limited number of spots. A 30-minute parent orientation is required at the first meeting. Parents will also be asked to help/volunteer on a rehearsal and/or show day – including set up, break down, concession sales, applying mics on kids and monitoring the kids during their dinner break between shows.
