Exploring the Arts: Young Actor Work Space

In this eight week acting session, learners have the opportunity to study drama. The goal of this course is that confidence will be built and creativity freed. Learners will explore breaking down a scene and analyzing characters. They will be encouraged to make strong choices. Learners will explore what happens before the scene starts (the before moment) and doing some improvisation.
WEEKS ONE – FOUR: Focus will be on different techniques, where the learners explore how use their own experiences to make their characters three-dimensional.
WEEKS FOUR – EIGHT: Learners we will be working on scene study and also preparing the work for the showcase.
*There will be a showcase at the end of the eight weeks for each class. Friends and family are welcome to attend this showcase to see how their learner has grown!
