Learner University: Piñata Perfection: Designing a Celebration (Grades 7-8)
November 5 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm PST

How do I make a perfect piñata?
In this Project-Based Learning (PBL) exploration, 7th and 8th graders are invited to take a deep-dive into the multicultural origins and significance of piñatas and then use the design process to build a piñata that is “perfect” for an upcoming event or celebration. Learners will be challenged to utilize engineering skills as well as apply design and art principles to their final product, culminating in an online showcase, and possibly followed by a real-life celebration that features their piñata.
