Learner University: Young Inventors (Grades 3-4)
May 5 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am PDT

Driving Question: What small problem at home can you solve with a safe, simple invention?
In this 5-week Project-Based Learning experience, learners in grades 3-4 are invited to become real-world problem solvers. Young inventors identify a small everyday challenge at home, and get to think of ways in which to solve it… and then create it!
Learners will explore how to think like engineers: defining a problem, designing with safety and constraints in mind, testing fairly, collecting data, and improving their ideas.
The final project will consist of a 1-2-minute invention pitch, complete with prototype photos or video and a one-page Design Journal — giving learners the chance to present their creativity, perseverance, and problem-solving skills with confidence.
This project starts right after testing (Time to have some fun!)
We will be meeting on zoom Tuesdays at 10 am

This engaging, hands-on project empowers learners to see that big ideas can start small — and that they have the power to invent solutions that make everyday life better.
