Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Picking
October 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT
$3.00 – $22.00
Get ready for a fun-filled fall adventure at Tanaka Farms! This hands-on field trip gives TK–2nd grade learners the opportunity to connect their learning to the real world and discover how food grows from seed to harvest. As they explore the pumpkin fields, they can see how a tiny pumpkin seed develops —bringing lessons about plant life cycles to life. Learners will also discover how farmers care for their crops while the Educational Barnyard Exhibit provides an opportunity to observe farm animals and learn how farmers care for animals. Along the way, students will enjoy a wagon ride, explore the corn maze, pick fresh vegetables, and choose their very own pumpkin to take home. It’s a memorable, hands-on learning experience that encourages curiosity, observation, appreciation for agriculture, and a deeper understanding of where our food comes from!
