Amanda is thrilled to be working as an educational facilitator for iLEAD Exploration! There is nothing that excites her more than working with families and learners. She enjoys connecting daily with homeschool families, as well as working alongside the leadership team and fellow educational facilitators at iLEAD.
Amanda comes to iLEAD with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Prior to entering the charter world, Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish, along with her master’s in education and a teaching credential from Pepperdine University. From there, she accepted a position at Woodbridge High School teaching honors English. She has been involved with charters for over seven years now and has served as an educational facilitator, a mentor teacher, and a director of education.
As a homeschool mom herself, Amanda is able to empathize and connect with her homeschool families. She has homeschooled her three children Mary, Morgan and Liam for many years, and has been happily married to her husband Brendan since 2001. She has a pet menagerie at home: two dogs (Fiona and Henry), three Holland Lop bunnies, three parakeets, and two California Desert tortoises. Needless to say, there is never a dull moment around the Keegan home!
During her free time, Amanda enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys the simpler things in life, such as reading a good book, spending time in nature, or cooking with her kids in the kitchen.
