Amy finds homeschooling her three children to be the most rewarding job she has had in over twenty years in education! She started out working in a preschool during college at Trinity International University in Illinois, where she earned a degree in elementary education. Over the next fifteen years, she taught at every grade level and in several states, serving in leadership roles and earning her master’s degree in educational leadership at Point Loma Nazarene University. She began homeschooling when her oldest child was in kindergarten and finds great joy in tailor-making her own children’s educational experiences and being there to see the learning happen! Along with her passion for homeschooling, Amy loves to help and support other families and finds that to be the most rewarding part of working with iLEAD!
Amy enjoys time with her husband Joe and their three children. They love all things Disney, hiking, and just being out and inspired by nature. Amy collects vintage children’s books and relishes sharing a good story with the kids. She also writes poetry and screenplays in her free time.
