Ashley Pontell is a sixth generation California native. She received her bachelor of arts from Cal State Fullerton, a multiple subject teaching credential from National University and her master’s degree in educational leadership from Pepperdine University. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work in many different aspects of education, working with children and families from six weeks old to college-aged. She taught elementary school in the Los Angeles area as well as English to college students in Japan. She was the lead educator at the Zimmer Children’s Museum and also owned a fitness franchise geared toward new mothers and their children. She supports school choice and helped start a dual-language charter school in Los Angeles. But without a doubt, her favorite role has been that of a mother! Whether it’s traveling on a road-trip adventure across the western states, exploring Los Angeles museums, discovering beaches and hiking trails, or at home lost in a good book, her children continue to teach her learning takes place in a multitude of ways.
Ashley loves being an educational facilitator for iLEAD! She appreciates the one-on-one support she is able to provided homeschooling families. The homeschooling journey is different for each learner and she enjoys guiding families down the path that is right for them.
