About Becky

Connecting and collaborating with students and families has been a passion of Becky’s since she began her career in education. Becky received her teaching credential and degree in Latin American studies from Seattle Pacific University in 2002. Originally from Oregon, she moved to California and began teaching with the Los Angeles Unified School District shortly after graduation. Her educational values are centered around: meeting the diverse needs of each student, educating the whole child, and accompanying families as they raise up life-long learners who are curious, creative, and confident.

After over a decade of teaching with the Los Angeles Unified School District, Becky and her husband (also a teacher) were eager to start a family. Now, a mom to a daughter and son, she and her husband stay busy exploring the city of Los Angeles with their two kiddos in hand. Her family of four loves to travel (both domestically and internationally), be in nature, play games, and spend time with friends.

Becky is eager to support and encourage families on their educational journey and is thrilled to be a part of the iLEAD Exploration team!
