About Christie

Christie has been an Educational Facilitator with iLEAD since 2018 and is excited to continue serving students and families. She holds a B.A. in Business Economics and Accounting from UC Santa Barbara and began her career working for six years in finance. Inspired to pursue her true passion, she transitioned into education, earning her teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach.

With 23 years of teaching experience across public, private, and homeschool settings, Christie has found joy in coming alongside students and families as they discover their unique strengths and passions. As both a veteran homeschooling parent and a strong advocate for school choice, she believes every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in the learning environment that best fits their needs.

Christie especially enjoys overseeing high school student clubs, helping learners connect with peers, build friendships, and foster a sense of community within the independent study model. Outside of work, Christie loves spending time with her husband, two sons, and beloved standard poodle, Princess. She enjoys coffee, traveling, and hiking the scenic coastal trails of Southern California.
