Christy joined the iLEAD team with over 21 years of experience as a learning coach. She has pursued a life of working with children and being involved in their educational process. She earned her teaching credential from Point Loma Nazarene University and then achieved her master’s in education from Alliant International.
Whether it’s private tutoring, teaching science in the park, or leading in an administrative role, Christy is comfortable wearing many hats. Innovative, creative and collaborative are all characteristics that best describe her coaching style. She knows that learning happens in real, organic settings with simple tools that surround us all. Christy is passionate about project based learning and gets excited about designing a customized path for her families.
The other passions in her life include her four kids, husband and the small petting zoo of animals that are also part of her farm family! She has a large Labrador pup, a “free-range” bunny named Peter, a pearl cockatiel, Abyssinian guinea pig, several goldfish and 48-year-old desert tortoise!
