About Dominique Arrigo

Dominique’s love for learning blossomed at an early age, nurtured by enriching experiences in diverse educational settings. She views teaching as a profound privilege, recognizing that schools serve as unique environments where students not only master essential skills but also develop social acumen and embark on the journey of self-discovery. With the opportunity to broaden students’ perspectives and introduce innovative problem-solving strategies, Dominique is dedicated to fostering creativity and encouraging independent thinking, laying the groundwork for their future success.

Originally from New York and raised in Brazil, London, and Spain, Dominique’s journey brought her to Southern California for high school. She earned her teaching credential from CalState TEACH, and after home-educating her daughters during the pandemic, she discovered her passion for working with independent study families. Dominique aspires to connect with students in meaningful ways that extend beyond the classroom, igniting a lifelong love for learning.

Dominique lives in Pasadena with her husband, Joe, their two daughters, Sienna and Lux, and their beloved rescue dogs, Tigerlily and Tonka. She cherishes her time spent with family. In her free moments, she enjoys reading, running with her dogs, and exploring new destinations through travel.
