Glynis was born and raised in Oregon, but after attending Pepperdine University, she fell in love with beautiful southern California and hasn’t left except for a few short stints away. She started her career as an elementary school teacher and along the way, earned her master’s degree in education. However, she eventually left the classroom to focus on raising her own three children and enriching their lives through literature, creativity, time in nature, and focused attention. She now does the same through homeschooling them.
In the past, Glynis led tours of high school students around California on educational tours, which has influenced the enthusiasm she has to travel and explore the world with her own children. She is quite adept at planning inexpensive and lengthy summer trips around the world. In addition to travel, Glynis enjoys the beach, hiking, photography, and a good garage sale or flea market.
She loves working as an educational facilitator at iLEAD because she loves collaborating with families and seeing all the amazing learning that takes place in 1,000 different ways.
