About Jennie
Jennie is an adventurer who loves partnering with families on their independent-study journey. She believes learning happens everywhere and enjoys finding the best opportunities to match each learner’s unique passions, abilities, and dreams.
Jennie attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology. She received her teaching credential from Chapman University and went on to earn her master’s degree in Teaching. Jennie’s experience spans traditional classrooms, independent study, and alternative education. She has had the privilege of working with learners from kindergarten through high school.
Jennie has traveled to more than twenty countries and is always dreaming about her next adventure. Seeing the world through travel opened her eyes to the beauty of people and places. When she’s home, she loves to escape into a good book, either by reading or by writing her own stories. Jennie is an avid photographer, artist, and crafter, and she continually learns new skills to develop her craft. She lives in Tustin with her husband and three children. As a family, they enjoy camping, traveling, paddleboarding, and attending sports events.
