About Jennifer

A native Californian, Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego before returning to Los Angeles. After obtaining her teaching credential from CSUN, she spent seven years at Larchmont Charter School, where she taught and assisted fifth‑grade students. It was there that she cultivated her passion for project‑based learning and for creating a bridge from foundational knowledge to deep conceptual understanding.

Now a resident of the La Crescenta mountains, Jennifer and her daughter spend their days homeschooling and exploring the wild nature she never knew was so close to the bustle of Hollywood. They wander the woods, studying local flora and fauna, foraging for treasures, and weaving stories about make‑believe characters who inhabit the streams and trails. In her free time, she enjoys reading, caring for her ever‑expanding plant collection, and knitting. Jennifer also loves traveling with her husband and daughter, discovering unexpected gems within their home state.

As an educational facilitator, Jennifer has the privilege of witnessing the amazing learning that happens beyond the four walls of a classroom. She’s found that the heart of education lies in the personalized journeys of her learners—watching them follow their curiosity and build a bridge from foundational concepts to deep understanding within the comfort and freedom of their homeschooling world.
