About Jody

Jody is excited to be joining iLEAD as an educational facilitator. She received her Bachelor of arts degree from the University of California, Riverside, where she majored in English and had a double minor in art history and creative writing. She went on to get her teaching credential from Cal State University, Northridge and began teaching for Burbank Unified School District in 2000. She taught grades K and 1 for 10 years, until she moved down to Orange County with her family and decided to stay home with her two daughters. Since then, not only has she continued her teaching by subbing and being the art master’s volunteer at her girls’ elementary school, but she and her husband opened a coding school for kids called Code Gauchos for a few years in Lake Forest. She enjoyed working with homeschool families not only teaching them coding, but also helping steer them to the class that was best suited to their child’s needs.

Jody loves to spend time with her husband and two kids, Lily and Ella. She enjoys reading, cooking, Shine Dance Fitness and planning the itinerary for her next family vacation.
