About Julie

Julie believes that the best part of teaching is having the ability to cultivate a love for learning. She is thankful that her job as an educational facilitator at iLEAD gives her this opportunity daily. She loves partnering with children and their parents on their homeschool journey. She enjoys helping families with curriculum ideas and being part of all the wonderful and unique learning experiences of each of her learners.

From an early age, Julie knew that she wanted to be a teacher. She is grateful that her seven siblings allowed her to be the teacher whenever they would play school. She attended Cal State Fullerton where she received a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a multiple subject teaching credential. She has been in education for over ten years. Her educational experience has been both in public and private schools as well as tutoring many children. She has taught in classrooms ranging from preschool to upper elementary grades.

Julie’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family. She has been married to her best friend, Bill, for about twenty years and they have been blessed with three amazing children. She enjoys baking, being outside, reading and building special memories with her family.
