About Kendra

For the past 10 years, Kendra has loved working with independent‑study families at iLEAD. A proud graduate of Westmont College, she earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Concordia and went on to earn a master’s degree in Reading and a Reading Specialist Credential from California State University, Fullerton. Kendra taught elementary school in the Garden Grove Unified School District until she chose to homeschool her own children.

Independent study quickly became Kendra’s passion as she saw her children thrive in reading, writing, math, and other subjects. With each child having unique interests, independent learning gave them the time and freedom to explore what they truly loved. She encouraged her children to try new things and make the most of their learning through fun field trips and experiences.

Living in North Tustin, Kendra enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She likes being outdoors, having family time, and participating in church activities.
