About Kristen

Kristen has been working in the field of special education for the past 22 years. She is originally from New Jersey but has been teaching in California since 2006. She received a bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, and a moderate/severe credential, admin certificate and master’s in special education through National University. Throughout her career, Kristen has worked with students of all ages (from 18 months to age 22), teaching early intervention ABA all the way to running a transition program. Before starting with iLEAD, Kristen primarily taught students with autism and related disabilities at non-public schools in both New Jersey and California. She has held positions ranging from paraprofessional and bus driver all the way to lead supervising teacher and education program specialist administrator. Kristen truly feels fulfilled working in the iLEAD Exploration program and is excited to work with our moderate severe learners and their families to see how independent we can help our learners become.

Kristen took three years off to have her sons. She loved being home, but truly missed her other love of teaching and working with students and their families to help them achieve their goals. In her spare time, she loves traveling with her husband Tim and two sons Dash and Jaden, doing all things beach, adventure and outdoors.
