About Kristi

Kristi’s teaching career began the day her parents brought her baby sister home from the hospital—she immediately wanted to share her favorite books. After studying elementary education at Auburn University, Kristi taught first and second grade for eight years at a public school in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a private school in Miami, Florida.

Kristi and her husband, Dave, became accidental homeschoolers when their oldest son was in kindergarten. The family toured the United States and Canada in a travel trailer for 18 months while Dave performed as a stand‑up comedian. After settling in Los Angeles, they continued to enjoy the flexibility of independent study for 12 years.

As an Educational Facilitator, Kristi loves curriculum, connecting with families, and teaching reading intervention. She is an advocate for parent choice in education and is passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
