Regional Lead Facilitator
Lauren loves her work as an educational facilitator with iLEAD! Watching learners problem solve, make life decisions, and grow both personally and academically is an honor she does not take for granted. She has a lot of experience with learners with learning disabilities and has always found it deeply inspiring to see learners overcome tremendous adversity. As much as she enjoyed the years she spent teaching in a traditional classroom, her growing desire for greater flexibility in helping learners and families meet their unique needs and desires led her into the homeschool world. At iLEAD, she is able to put her years of experience, her two teaching credentials, and her master’s degree to work, collaborating with learners and families to tailor the education experience to the interests and needs of each learner.
In her free time, she loves to cook, garden, spend time outdoors, read, and enjoy time with her family. She has travelled to 17 countries, and she and her husband spent six months in Guatemala. She believes that exposure to different cultures, perspectives, and lifestyles can be one of the most challenging and enriching parts of life. As an educator, she also believes that this exposure is critical for learners growing up in Los Angeles and living in our increasingly diverse and global community.
