About Leah

With both parents in education, Leah learned from a young age that education is a lifestyle and not just something you do within the four walls of a classroom. She considers herself a lifelong learner and has a desire for all children to fall in love with learning. Leah’s favorite aspect of being an EF is getting the opportunity to watch children grow and develop in a setting that empowers them to use their unique strengths and learning styles. Leah is thrilled to be part of the iLEAD Exploration team.

Leah is originally from Spokane, Washington where she received her bachelor’s degree in education from Whitworth University. After graduation she spent time in Africa doing development work before returning to the U.S. to pursue education. She taught in Washington and in a private school in Santa Ana for a few years before getting the opportunity to stay home with her three young children. Being a mom is her greatest joy to date!

Leah is most content when in nature with her family and closest friends. Her best memories are great camping adventures, coastal road trips, and her 30th birthday RV trip through Alaska! She will always be a Pacific Northwest girl in her heart of hearts, but she is happy to live and play in a region where the sun shines 360 days a year!
