About Mary

Mary was born and raised in northern California. In 1998, she married a United States Marine and thus began her travels. She has lived in southern California, Georgia, Virginia, and on the beautiful island of Oahu. While living on Oahu, she decided to homeschool her three children. Shortly after she began this journey, she decided to go back to school, and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Chaminade University of Honolulu. She completed her student teaching in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Because of their travels, Mary has worked with many different families and communities in her years of homeschooling. She has loved teaching her three children in grades kindergarten through 11th grade. She really enjoys catering their curriculum to fit their individual learning styles and needs.

Mary enjoys spending time with her family. She loves camping, hiking, playing board games, and watching movies. When she can find the time, she loves to read, crochet, and karaoke. She is very excited to add the addition of being an educational facilitator with iLEAD Exploration to her life.
