Student Support Coordinator
Rachel has been working in special education for over 17 years and with learners with special needs for over 16 years. She has worked with learners of various ages and disabilities in North Carolina, Chicago, iLEAD’s SCVi, and the Independent Study program with iLEAD Exploration. Her hope is to provide learners with the tools to become independent, lifelong learners by meeting their needs through diverse methods of instruction. She loves to make learning fun by including learner interests and passions into curriculum. Rachel is excited to continue teaching virtually and working with parents and learners in the iLEAD Exploration program.
Rachel currently lives outside of Buffalo, NY with her husband, Mark, who is a composer. They have two children. Together, they enjoy hiking, watching movies, and playing games. Star Wars, Disney movies, and music are some of their shared passions. In her free time, Rachel also enjoys reading historical fiction, crocheting, and cooking.
