About Suzanne

Suzanne earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral studies and a California multiple-subject teaching credential from The Master’s College. For many years, she taught elementary school, subbed, and worked in the GATE program and after school classes in the local school district. She left full time work for part time work after having her first child. Suzanne began her iLEAD journey subbing in high school classes at SCVi and teaching a Friday singing elective class. In 2013, Suzanne joined iLEAD’s independent study program as an educational facilitator and has seen it grow and change. She loves the individual relationships she makes and being invested in the lives of her learners.

Suzanne loves to learn, read, sing, go to the beach, and work with kids and animals. She loves opening the eyes of her learners to new ideas and helping them find a love for learning. She also enjoys creating challenging assignments for her learners and finding curriculum that inspires. When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She enjoys movies, playing games with friends, reading her Bible, walking her border collie, and traveling.
