About Taruna

Taruna received her teaching credential from Whittier College and went on to earn her master’s degree in education. She has experience teaching children in both a traditional and non-traditional school environment. She has taught at the elementary school level and was also a Kumon math and reading owner/instructor for three years where she enjoyed working with a diverse range of learners from kindergarten through high school. She believes each child is unique and educators should approach their learning as a collaborative effort between the student, teacher and their families. Taruna loves working with children and is excited to help them along their iLEAD journey!

Taruna loves to spend time with her husband and two children. They enjoy traveling, hiking and playing board games together. One of her favorite activities is to curl up with a good book and a cup of coffee! Taruna can also be found planning her next vacation with family and friends as she loves to research and plan places to visit. She recently helped navigate a group of 18 family and friends to explore Canada and Alaska together. Although their travels have only taken them within North America, she is already planning future travels abroad!
