Finding the right college can be a daunting process, but that shouldn’t stop juniors and seniors from exploring college options. In his book, “Colleges That Change Lives, 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges,” Loren Pope offers some helpful suggestions to consider when looking for liberal arts colleges. Most of the institutions highlighted in this book are small, liberal arts campuses that allow for a much more personal college experience. They often value collaboration over competition in their academic environments. They also strive to provide life-changing opportunities for their undergraduates by encouraging study-abroad programs or community service projects. The latest version of the book is divided into five national regions for easier college searching and also includes a chapter for learners with disabilities. We hope this book gives you some new schools to consider as you search for the right college fit for your learner.
