Paid Summer Internships for LA County Juniors/Seniors in High School
TIP (The Intern Project) provides outstanding high school learners from schools across L.A. County with the chance to work in dynamic career areas through internships of four or more weeks during their summer break. Please note that priority will be given to learners with high needs.
Ideal TIP candidates are responsible young adults completing their junior or senior year at an L.A. County high school, with a record of high academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or better), consistent attendance, knowledge and use of social media, and, above all, have a passion to work in one of these identified fields: arts, media and entertainment; energy and environment/business; health science and medical technology; and government, philanthropy and social impact.

PHASE 1
March 2018: Applications are reviewed by The Intern Project team.
PHASE 2
April – May 2018: Top applicants are selected and notified if they are moving forward to Phase 3.
PHASE 3
May 2018: Applicants may be invited for interviews (by phone, video, or in-person). In many cases, applicants are offered an internship by this time. Once interns are selected to be a part of the program, an official offer letter will be sent.
June 13, 2018 (date may change): Mandatory internship orientation covering TIP programming details. This orientation will also include professional development workshops, networking activities, and more.
June – August 2018: Internships and TIP programming begin! This includes field trips, regular check-ins with TIP coaches, and more.
August 3, 2018: The Intern Project culminating event
