Hawaiian and Polynesian Ho’ike (Show) by Kamakani Komohana
Kamakani Komohana (Westwind Productions) will bring you a taste of the Polynesian culture on March 24 at 11 AM at the OC Learning Studio. You will learn about Polynesian history through the art of storytelling through dance, song and live music. You will experience various Polynesian instruments and see the beautiful cultural costumes that are both designed and constructed by the wonderful kumu (teacher) Auntie Jene’a as well as the students themselves! You will experience the islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, Maori, and Samoa.
You will have access to the library during and after the performance.
