Driving Question: How can I empower my child to make responsible choices and maintain a positive connection while avoiding unnecessary power struggles?

Take a look at Love and Logic’s five core principles for avoiding power struggles.

Skill 4 encourages you to use enforceable statements to shift control back to the parents and reinforces responsibility by allowing natural and logical consequences. This helpful sheet provides some examples of enforceable statements.
