SLO of the Month: Self-Control
As we begin the New Year, we will continue to focus on one Schoolwide Learner Outcome (SLOgan) per month. For the month of January, our SLOgan of the month is self-control. Self-control is “doing what’s best despite short-term temptations,” according to Characterlab.org. Self-control is important because it predicts academic and professional achievement, physical and emotional well-being, positive social relationships, and financial security.
