Our amazing TK/K coordinator, Andrea Huntsman, believes she has the best job ever! She is privileged to spend every day interacting with the wonderful iLEAD TK/kindergarten learners. These young learners have become super savvy using technology to enhance their daily learning by participating in her daily synchronized instruction, which includes daily calendar, singing and dancing to fun songs, math activities, story time, and sharing ideas and jokes with each other. If you have a TK/K learner in your family, please encourage them to join in the fun! Here is the link: Daily S.I.T at 11:00 AM.
Along with participating in daily S.I.T, our little explorers have the opportunity to participate in monthly in-person enrichment activities offered at both our OC Learning Center and our Acton Curriculum Library, where they get hands-on math and science experiences.
They have had fun learning about their five senses using apples.
They were able to become architects by creating structures out of toothpicks and cranberries.
They were chemists mixing together ingredients to see which ones made the best snow.
Their creativity was tested by decorating beautiful gingerbread houses.
In March, their engineering skills came out designing leprechaun traps for St. Patty’s Day.
If your TK or kindergartener has not had the opportunity to participate in any of these fun activities, keep an eye out for our upcoming enrichments coming up in April and May.
Take a look at our TK/K Website, where you can find fun activities and upcoming events for your TK/K learners.
