Concurrent Enrollment

At most community colleges, concurrent enrollment is free for high school learners and allows them to fulfill both high school and college requirements at the same time. Concurrent enrollment is a popular option for learners on any academic path. Most semester-long college courses fulfill a year’s worth of high school credit. While learners in all high school grades are allowed to register for community college courses, it is important that a learner is socially, emotionally, and academically ready for the rigor and content of college-level classes. The majority of colleges are tuition free for high school learners. Learners may use funds to purchase materials using vendor bookstores. Courses taken through concurrent enrollment are listed on permanent college transcripts.
