Learner Spotlight: Ethan Bell

Ethan Bell is an iLEAD kindergartener. He is a bright-eyed, creative spirit with a fantastic imagination and thirst for knowledge. On being a big brother, Ethan says, “I like taking care of my sister by giving her lots of love, protecting her and teaching her.”

He loves being with iLEAD because he has met many new friends, including a special dog named Quinnie. Every Thursday, he looks forward to his Engineering with LEGOS class. He always wants to learn how things are made and how they work. He loves all “things that go” and designing and building them. Ethan is very proud to have just earned his orange belt at KRAV MAGA and can now take the KMX Explorers Advanced classes.

He also loves music and plays ukulele, drums, didgeridoo and shakers. He hopes to play trumpet and trombone someday and likes jazz music the best “of course.” Ethan also acts, sings and dances. His favorite jobs this year were a Disney Jr. voiceover for “The Lion Guard,” and a story he wrote and voiced for Honda Accord.

He and his family go on many field trips. Some of his favorites have been LEGOLAND, the Natural History Museum/La Brea Tar Pits, UCLA Geology Department, Underwood Farms and many dance and music concerts. He loves to read, solve math questions, run and play with his friends, and make a game out of everything like cleaning up! (You will often find him directing his friends in various scenarios.) He has friends and family all over the world and enjoys learning about different places and people. His favorite place is Maui, Hawaii.

He is concerned with air pollution and the homeless and wants to be a police officer when he grows up to protect people.
