Lilah Fitzgerald is an iLEAD eighth grader and actress, known for “Seventh Son” (2014), “My New Best Friend” (2015) and “The Stolen” (2012). Lilah’s mom says, “independent studying has allowed Lilah the ‘scope for imagination’ (her words, in imitation of her hero, Anne of Green Gables) and the time and space to play and live out the stories in her head. Truly all the world has been her stage.”
In the early years, Lilah’s days were filled with very involved playtime including costumes, props and any friend (or sister or parent) willing to participate. Themes typically included the Plague or World War II, leaving Lilah as an orphan having to relocate to live with a mean old aunt.
Ever since she could speak, Lilah has articulated that she was going to be an “actor/singer/dancer.” As she got older, Lilah was able to more specifically explain that her dream was to act, sing and dance on Broadway. While Lilah started acting professionally at age 7, her family waited until she was older than most to introduce formal dance instruction. She was 10 when she started dance lessons, and is now dancing en pointe. She also began singing lessons last year.
Currently Lilah is auditioning for film and television, and is also in rehearsals for the Los Angeles Ballet’s “Nutcracker.” She just completed dialogue scenes for her most recent film, “I’ll Be There For You,” scheduled to air next year on Pixl Network. It is a lovely film about a young girl (Lilah) who prays for an angel to help her mom who is struggling.
