High School Highlights- September 2021

Hello September

Welcome to the first edition of High School Highlights for the 2021-22 school year! We hope you are ready to launch into a productive and exciting year. The high school team is here to help you along the way. Please read our monthly newsletter to keep up to date on opportunities that are available to you as an iLEAD learner. We are excited for the beginning of a new year! Here are a few upcoming time sensitive announcements.

Plan to join our back to school High School Meet & Greet on September 10 at 10 am. This is an opportunity to meet our academic counselors and college advisor as well as our ASB and NHS supervisors. All high schoolers and their parents are welcome to attend. RSVP HERE.

There is still room for college bound juniors to sign up for our live online College Exploration Course with our College Advisor, Laura Kazan. This is an excellent opportunity to prepare for college applications and to learn the ins and outs of the college search process. Juniors may earn a-g elective credit for this year long course which meets on Mondays at 10 am or Tuesdays at 3:00 pm. Contact your EF right away if you’re interested.

PSAT/NMSQT

This is an optional College Board test to prepare learners for the SAT or to determine if 11th graders qualify for National Merit Scholarship. We will offer the test on Wednesday, October 13 at our OC Learning Studio in Costa Mesa. Registration and payment are due by September 6. RSVP HERE.

AP Exam Registration

For those who are taking AP courses, we will offer AP exams during the spring of 2022. Learners are not required to take a course in order to take the exam, though it is encouraged. AP Registration and the $94 payment per exam will be due by October 29.
