Earthroots Field School offers classes that cultivate a sense of care and connection with the natural world. Delight, discovery, and adventure fill the outdoor days of our program. Children are invited to play and learn in the unspoiled beauty of Big Oak Canyon with experienced instructors. The general structure includes circle time, story, main lesson, wilderness exploration, and games. Our Homeschool Field Classes have an environmental science focus and meet in nature at various locations throughout Orange County. Classes explore topics such as wilderness awareness, ancestral living skills, ecological gardening, cooking, natural building, and nature-based crafts.
