College: Letters of Recommendation

Letter of Recommendation

Juniors, as you start considering college applications, it’s crucial to understand the significant role that strong letters of recommendation play. While the process of obtaining them might seem daunting, the good news is that you have options! The spring semester of 11th grade is the perfect time to start building relationships with your core subject teachers.

Online Classes: Office hours are your chance to connect and ask questions. It shows initiative and helps teachers get to know you better.

Live and Synchronous Classes: Contact your learning center teachers and iLEAD Live EFs and let them know you will be applying to college next year. Speak to them about letters of recommendation.

Concurrent Enrollment: A letter from a community college professor can be a strong addition to your application. Be sure to attend office hours and get to know them!
