Throughout this project, learners will ask questions, collect data, and research ways we can reduce our carbon footprints. Learners will write a letter to you, explaining how you, as a family, can reduce your carbon footprint. Through this project, learners will explore a number of concepts and skills, including key math concepts of multiplying fractions, volume, and using data charts to better understand and explain their thinking; research skills; reading and writing for instructional purposes; and collaborating with teams to solve a problem. Learners will see that they have the power to make a difference in their communities! Register by November 3.
