Spring state testing is right around the corner for many iLEAD learners who will be participating in the California Assessment of Student Progress. CAASPP includes the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments (SBAC) in English language arts/literacy and mathematics which is administered to all learners in grades 3rd-8th and 11th, as well as the California Science Test (CAST) assessment which is administered to all learners in grades 5th, 8th, and once in high school. CAASPP is a statewide assessment program that measures learner performance with the goal of boosting the quality and standards of learning.
This year, we are excited to announce that iLEAD is preparing for remote CAASPP testing sessions. For the first time ever, learners will be able to take the state test from the comfort of their home. A parent letter with more information on CAASPP assessments has been emailed to you by your EF. The Monday Message will offer support to families through a series of testing tips, strategies, and fun activities to help build confidence as we approach our testing window.
