About Heidi

Heidi has been an educator since 1992. She has a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies. She received a teaching credential from Chapman University where she became especially interested in early childhood literacy. She spent eight years teaching first grade where she embraced the challenge of teaching children how to read. She also learned how vital it is to incorporate hands-on learning in the subjects of math and science. In 2006, she started working with learners in a personalized learning environment. She loves being able to work with the same learners year after year. This gives her the opportunity to understand their strengths and weaknesses and help guide them on a successful academic path!

Heidi lives in Santa Clarita with her husband and two boys. She enjoys exercising, going on long walks, camping, and dirt bike riding. She loves being an educational facilitator and helping families find their own unique path on their homeschool journey!
