About Maya

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Maya Lee is an experienced educator with a demonstrated history in various educational environments. She got her Multiple Subject Credential as well as her Master’s in Education from BIOLA University in La Mirada, CA. Maya has worked as a teacher in both public and private schools, while tutoring and coaching a girl’s running club on the side. Through her career as an educator, she was promoted as the lead Technology and Innovation Educator creating a curriculum that encourages students to grow in their knowledge of computer software, coding, and engineering. She loves how independent study allows students to find their learning style while creating limitless opportunities of growth and enrichment. She looks forward to working with families to love, nurture, and lead students!

Maya got married to her best friend after dating for 6.5 years on 8/14/22 because 8 + 14 is 22. Math is definitely her favorite subject! She currently resides in Pasadena, California with her husband, but grew up in the Arcadia Unified School District. In her free time, she loves to workout at the crack of dawn, make creative content, and eat delicious food!
