About Melissa

Melissa Plunkett started working in education as a teaching aid in 2019 where she was working with high school students for almost 3 years. Because she enjoyed her experiences working in education so much, she went on to pursue a CTE credential for Arts, Media, and Entertainment, and then she pursued a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University where she also received her credential in May 2023.

Currently, Melissa is serving as an Educational Facilitator for iLEAD Exploration. This experience is special to her because after the pandemic, she decided to continue homeschooling her middle son and she is excited to share all this experience has to offer, while also learning about her families and being inspired by their own experiences.

Melissa has a husband, three sons, three dogs, two horses, and too many chickens in her loving home. In her free time you can find her reading, spending time with her animals, practicing jiu jitsu, exercising, hiking, making crochet things, or learning something new (because there is always something to learn).
