About Monica

Monica was born in Southern California and raised in both California and Hawaii. She has family in both states and would travel between the two. Monica received her B.A. in Liberal Arts and minored in Music at CSULB. While residing in Hawaii, and substitute teaching for 7 years, in 2017 she was motivated to go back to school to get certified in Special Education (Mild/Moderate) at U. H. Manoa. Hawaii is where she began her teaching career primarily in the elementary school setting. After the covid pandemic, Monica decided to move back to California to help take care of her mother. She has 1 little boy, a cat and a husband. She recently joined the iLEAD team and is excited for this new upcoming school year!
