About Summer

Born and raised in Southern California, Summer Cox brings a wealth of experience from a variety of educational settings including private schools, public schools, Christian schools, homeschool and studio teaching from preschool through college levels. Summer earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from California Baptist University. She obtained both single and multiple subject teaching credentials from California State University Northridge as well as a Master of Education from The University of La Verne. Passionate about education and parental choice, Summer is a cheerleader for homeschooling families and desires to help learners cultivate a love for learning and the ability to think critically in an ever changing society.

Outside of education, Summer is an avid runner and triathlete who loves being active and outdoors. She is passionate about her family, Jesus, health and wellness, and board games. Summer resides in Castaic with her husband and three vibrant children, whom she also homeschools.
